History
InterRail was created in 1972 at the 50th anniversary of the International Railway Union. It was dedicated to young people up to 21 years of age. If you want to know more about the history of the pass, please visit the History of Interrail page.

Eurail Group G.I.E.
Eurail.Com B.V. is owned by the Eurail Group G.I.E., a company which manages the InterRail and Eurail products on behalf of 26 European Railways. The Eurail Group G.I.E. was established in 2001, replacing the Eurail community which was managing the Eurail products since 1959. The Eurail Group G.I.E. is a legal entity, registered in Luxembourg under Luxembourg law, but with its head office in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
