General Policies

• InterRailNet.com accepts the following credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, JCB, Visa Delta, Visa Electron and CartaSi. Furthermore real-time bank transfer is possible with GiroPay (Germany), iDeal (The Netherlands) and EPS (Austria).
• All bookings are accepted and all tickets, passes and vouchers are issued on the express condition that InterRail is not responsible nor liable for any loss (consequential or otherwise); damage (including, but not limited to, loss of, or damage to passengers' clothes, baggage, property, whatsoever); death, injury, delay, inconvenience or irregularity caused by, or arising from, or in connection with, any defect in any train, vehicle or other land or sea conveyance used, rented, or travelled in; or through the negligence, wilful misconduct, strikes, or other acts, defaults, or omissions of any railroad carrier, car rental or other provider of goods and services.
• Every booking accepted is subject to the conditions, tariffs and regulations imposed by the rail, shipping, bus, car rental, car insurance, or other companies, firms, or persons concerned.
• Every booking accepted is subject to a fraud check. Potential fraudulous bookings will be manually validated and the customers will be contacted if needed. This will happen within 48 hours after booking, during business days. InterRailNet.Com is not responsible nor liable for any loss (consequential or otherwise); damage, delay, inconvenience or irregularity caused by, or arising from, or in connection with this process.
• Travel insurance is recommended.
• Travellers are responsible for ensuring that they have all necessary travel documents and visas.

Age Limits

Anyone can buy an Inter Rail Pass. However, there are several price levels depending upon your age and the preferred class:

• Customers aged 26 and older on the first day of validity of their Pass can buy an 'Adult' Pass in 1st or 2nd class
• Customers aged 12 up to and including 25 years old can buy a 'Youth' Pass, which is only valid for 2nd class train travel
• Customers aged 4 up to 12 years old get a discount of 50% on the fare of an 'Adult' Pass, 1st or 2nd class
• Children aged 0 up to and including 3 travel for free

Country of Residence

You can buy an InterRail pass if your country of residence for at least 6 months has been:

• one of the Inter Rail community members: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom
• one of the other European countries:
  Albania, Andorra, Belarus, Cyprus, Estonia, Faeroer, Gibraltar, Iceland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Russia, San Marino, Ukraine, Vatican;

Train staff will check your residency in your travel document, so make sure that you bring the right documents.
