Trains
Travel with the Berlin Night Express
InterRail pass holders with a pass that is valid in Germany and Sweden get a discounted fare on this overnight train that operates on the route:
- Berlin – Malmö (Sweden) (including the ferry crossing Sassnitz – Trelleborg)
The reservation of a couchette or a bed is compulsory. You can travel overnight for just €19 in a 6-berth couchette or for €39 in a 2-berth compartment in an exclusive sleeping car.
Please note that this train only runs from April to October.

Hop on the S-Bahn and discover major German cities

An InterRail pass is also valid on the S-Bahn (suburban metro railways) networks that DB operates in major German cities, including the capital, Berlin. The S-Bahn can be recognised by its logo (white S on a green background).
Buses
Special fare on Expressbus Nuremburg or Munich – Prague (Czech Republic)

The "Expressbus" EXB is a new non-stop motor coach service on which Eurail pass holders receive a special fare. It runs on two routes:
- Nuremburg to Prague (Czech Republic). There are 6 daily round trips in each direction, with a travel time of 3 hours and 50 minutes.
- München to Prague (Czech Republic). There are 4 daily round trips in each direction, with a travel time of 5 hours.
Booking information
Tickets and the service supplements can be bought at ticket windows in the Czech Republic and Germany. Service supplements are also available from the bus driver with limited availability and at a slightly higher fare.

Additional charges and conditions
- Holders of an InterRail Global Pass whose country of residence is not Germany or Czech Republic pay the service supplement "Pass":
- 1st class: €15 / 2nd class: €10 - Holders of an InterRail Global Pass whose country of residence is Germany or Czech Republic: a reduced point-to-point ticket for the section of the country of residence up to the border point (Waldhaus Grenze) is compulsory, which includes the reservation.
- Holders of an InterRail Germany Pass or InterRail Czech Republic Pass: a regular fare point-to-point ticket for the section of the country not included up to the border point (Waldhaus Grenze) is compulsory, which includes the reservation
- All passengers on this motor coach are required to make a reservation.
- Snacks and beverages available on board. For 1st class travellers, snacks are included in the fare.
- There are 14 seats in 1st class and 58 seats in 2nd class on each coach.
Go shopping in Frankfurt or Munich
InterRail pass holders get a free ride on the "Shopping Express Bus" which takes you to Wertheim Village Shopping Outlet in Frankfurt or Ingolstadt Village Shopping Outlet in Munich. To get the benefit, just show your InterRail pass to the driver.

Bus departures
The Shopping Express Bus to Wertheim Village starts at 09:30 Frankfurt main train station (exit south to coach parking, opposite Mannheimerstrasse 15, bus stop: Romantische Straße) or at 10:00 at Westin Grand Hotel (next to underground station: Konstablerwache).
The Shopping Express Bus to Ingolstadt Village departs at 09:30 at Munich main train station (opposite Karstadt department store) or at 10:00 at Westin Hotel Grand Munich (Arabellastrasse 6).
Meininger Hostels & Hotels

Get a 10% discount on your stay at Meininger hotels or hostels in Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, Cologne and Hamburg.
The Wi-Fi is free in all public areas of the hostels and hotels.
