Travel Discounts

S-Bahn
An InterRail Pass is also valid on the S-Bahn (suburban metro railways) that operates in the major German cities like Berlin, Munich and Hamburg. The S-Bahn can be recognized by its logo (White S on a green background)

Berlin Night Express
Discounted fare if the Pass is valid in Sweden (with compulsory reservation of a couchette or bed) on the route: Berlin-Malmö, including the ferry crossing Sassnitz-Trelleborg.

Prices for holders of an InterRail Global pass or a One Country Pass Sweden:

• Couchette (6 beds in each compartment): 15 Euro
• Bed in double compartment: 30 Euro
• Bed in single compartment: 250 Euro

Expressbus Nurnberg - Prague (new from 9 August 2009)

The "Expressbus" EXB is a new motorcoach service from Nürnberg to Prague in the Czech Republic. It runs without intermediate stops every 2 hours. There are 6 daily round trips in each direction with a travel time of 3 hours 50 min.

Conditions for InterRail Pass holders:

• Holders of an InterRail Global Pass, whose country of residence is NOT Germany or Czech Republic pay the service supplement "Pass": 2nd class 10 euro, first class 15 euro.
• Holders of an InterRail Global Pass, whose country of residence is Germany or Czech Republic: a reduced point-to-point ticket for the section of the country of residence up to the border point (Waidhaus Grenze) is compulsory which includes the reservation. 

• Holders of an InterRail Germany Pass or Czech Republic Pass: a regular fare point-to-point ticket for the section of the country not included up to the border point (Waidhaus Grenze) is compulsory which includes the reservation.

Tickets and the service supplement are available at ticket windows in Germany and the Czech Republic. Service supplements are also available from the bus driver with limited availability and at a slightly higher fare.

• Modern motorcoach service with 1st and 2nd class sections
• Snacks and beverages available on board, for 1st class travellers included in the fare
• 14 seats in 1st class and 58 seats in 2nd class
• Compulsory reservation for all passengers using this motorcoach service
