Exchange or refund of your InterRail pass
If you need to return your InterRail pass, you can choose between an 85% refund or an exchange for a different InterRail pass.
A refund or exchange is possible:
- for an unused InterRail pass, which is returned to us before the first day of validity.
When you return the InterRail pass after the first day of validity, we can only offer a refund if::
- the InterRail pass has been endorsed ‘NOT USED’ by railway staff before or on the first day of validity.
- your request is received within 1 month after the last day of validity of the InterRail pass.
All requests for refund for tickets must be made exclusively at the company where the InterRail pass in question has been purchased.
Refund of an InterRail pass
If your refund request meets the criteria stated above, InterRailNet.Com offers an 85% refund of the pass price that you paid.
Exception: if you purchased Premium Shipping and the first delivery attempt of the package is later than the Estimated Delivery Date indicated during the order process, you are entitled to a 100% refund including shipping costs.
- Ask our customer service by email or phone for the return instructions. You can find the contact details for your region in your order confirmation email or invoice.
- Send the unused InterRail pass(es) back to the provided address, via a traceable method.
- Briefly explain the reason for your refund request and apply for the 85% refund.
- Once we receive the unused InterRail pass(es) back, the money will be refunded to the credit card or payment method that you originally used for the purchase.
Exchange of an InterRail pass
Have your travel plans changed? We can exchange your InterRail pass(es) for another type of InterRail pass, if this better accommodates your trip schedule.
You will only pay an exchange fee of €15 per InterRail pass. Shipping charges are non-refundable.
How to apply for an exchange:
- Order a new InterRail pass.
- Contact our customer service team by post or phone. You can find the contact details for your region in your order confirmation email or invoice. Provide us the old order number, the new order number and request an InterRail pass exchange.
- Send the unused InterRail pass(es) back to the provided address, via a traceable method.
- When we receive the unused InterRail pass(es) back, we will process a 100% refund minus the €15 exchange fee per InterRail pass.
Please note: a refund can take from a few days up to three weeks to appear on your account, depending on your credit card company. Lost or stolen InterRail passes are neither refundable nor replaceable, except when Pass Loss & Theft Cover has been purchased and these specific terms apply.
