Ferries and other shipping services
Your InterRail Pass entitles you to free or discounted ferry crossings and boat tours. Below you find a short overview of participating shipping services. In the section Extra Pass Benefits you can find more detailed info per country.
On the InterRail railway map the main ferry services between countries are indicated, along with the approximate travel time.
Please note: the InterRail map and the InterRail traveller's guide listing the benefits are only printed once a year. The information on the InterRailNet.Com website is usually more up-to-date.

- Austria: boat trips from Blue Danube Schiffahrt and Donauschiffahrt Wurm & Köck
- Belgium: ferry from Superfast Ferries
- Denmark: ferries crossings from Color Line, Scandlines, DFDS Seaways and Stena Line
- Finland: ferries from Finnlines, Tallink Silja Oy and Viking Line
- France: ferries from Irish Ferries
- Germany: ferries and boats Finnlines, from Tallink Silja Oy, Scandlines and Donauschiffahrt Wurm & Köck
- Great Britain: ferries from DFDS Seaways, Stena Line, Irish Ferries and Superfast Ferries
- Greece: ferries from Superfast ferries, Blue Star Ferries, HML and Minoan Lines
- Ireland: ferries from Irish Ferries and Stena Line

SeaFrance ferries between Calais (France) and Dover (UK) do not accept foot passengers anymore since October 2009.
Travel day rules for flexi Passes
If you travel on a boat that departs after 19.00 (7pm) and arrives after 4.00 (4am), you may use just one of your travel days (7 pm rule).
When travelling by night ferry (Superfast, Minoan or Blue Star Ferries) you can fill in either the day of departure or the day of arrival. Please note that you cannot start travelling before the first day of validity on your Pass.
