InterRail train timetable: check train times
Most European railways have a website where you can consult train schedules and platform information. Departure schedules and platforms are posted at all train stations. At larger ones, computerised boards provide up-to-the-minute information. On the platforms, you will also usually find displays confirming the next train's departure time and destination.
International timetables
You can use various great online timetables to plan your train trips in Europe. Examples are the international timetables of the the Deutsche Bahn and the Belgian SNCB.
You can also use the schedule planner of the Austrian railway ÖBB with the form on the right.
National timetables
The European planners list mainly the main international trains. Smaller, more local trains can be found in the national railway planners. Therefore, if you are planning to travel beyond the large cities, it might be useful to check the national railways' planners.

Printed timetable
You can also consider to buy a printed timetable to take with you on your trip. We recommend the European Rail Timetables by Thomas Cook Publishing. An updated version is published twice a year, in summer and winter.
A concise timetable can be downloaded in PDF-format from the Eurail.com website. This timetable is given in printed format to non-Europeans who travel with a Eurail Pass. Most info also applies to InterRailers. Please note that this timetable is only printed once a year, so check an online timetable too for the most up-to-date times.
