Find out which pass you can use
You can only use an InterRail pass if you are a European resident and have been living in Europe for at least the last 6 months (counted on your first day of travel).
Choose your level of comfort
The difference between 1st and 2nd class rail travel is the level of comfort and the facilities provided. 1st class InterRail passes are more expensive than 2nd class passes. Compare InterRail pass prices.
Travelling longer than 1 month
The InterRail pass with the longest validity is the Global Pass - everyday within 1 month. There's so much to see and do in Europe, so it's no surprise that many travellers want to spend more than a month interrailing in Europe. All you need to do is order 2 (or more) InterRail passes, just making sure the second pass is valid on the day after the first pass has expired!
